Specyfy Water

Privacy

This page describes what Specyfy Water actually does with what you send. It is written to match the code rather than to cover us.

What we collect

Only what you type into the form, plus a small amount of context about where it came from. Specifically:

  • your answers to the three questions — the kind of water, its source, when it started, how much is wet and which part of the building;
  • the ZIP code, name and phone number you enter;
  • the page you sent it from, and the referring site or campaign tags if there were any;
  • the time of submission, in UTC;
  • the exact consent wording you were shown, and whether you ticked the box.

We do not ask for an email address, a street address, a date of birth or anything about your finances. There are no third-party scripts on this site other than Google Analytics, and no part of the form is sent to any service other than ours.

Consent, and why the wording is stored

The box is not ticked for you. The text beside it reads: "I agree that an independent provider may contact me about this request." That exact sentence is stored alongside your request, together with the fact that you ticked it — so that if the wording on the site changes later, what you agreed to does not change with it.

What we do with it

We pass it to an independent restoration provider covering the ZIP code you entered, so that they can contact you. That is the purpose of the form and the only thing we use it for. We do not sell it, we do not share it with anyone else, and we do not add you to a mailing list.

How long we keep it

Requests are kept for 12 months and then deleted. If you would like yours removed sooner, email [email protected] from any address with the phone number you used, and we will delete it.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to count visits and to see where people stop part-way through the form. Google Signals and advertising personalisation are switched off. The events we record describe the page and the kind of water selected; no name, phone number or ZIP code is sent to Google at any point.

Cookies

Google Analytics sets its own cookies. We do not set any of our own, and nothing on this site stores your answers in your browser between visits.
